Jesse Sias
Executive Director

Jesse Sias joined The Barrington of Carmel sales team in 2017, and has more than 20 years of experience as an administrator in healthcare and skilled nursing communities. Sias has a strong background in all aspects of senior living and healthcare, and has made significant positive contributions to the lives of residents and their families in assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. In previous leadership roles, Sias helped build community occupancies to 100 percent and played an instrumental role in the opening of successful communities. Under his leadership, the level of service at The Barrington of Carmel will continue to exceed the expectations of the seniors and families we serve.

Janine Short
Sales and Marketing Director

Janine Short has more than 6 years of experience in providing design consulting in color trends, kitchen and bath design, flooring, fixtures and overall interior design. Prior to joining the Barrington, Janine was a Design Consultant for The Estridge Group. She received her Associates Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Penny Hurst
Senior Living Counselor

Penny Hurst joined The Barrington of Carmel sales team in August 2009, and has nearly 15 combined years of experience in real estate sales and investments. From 2002 to 2008, she held a Series 6 and Series 63 Investment License, as well as a and Health & Life Insurance license. Prior to joining The Barrington team, Penny worked in investments at National City Bank in Fishers, IN. Penny earned her degree from State of Indiana, and currently lives in Carmel, IN.

Nikki Meeker
Senior Living Coordinator

Nikki Meeker joined The Barrington of Carmel sales team in April 2014, bringing more than 4 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining the team, she was named #1 AM Concierge in the country for Renaissance Hotels. Nikki had a concentration on European Studies at Seattle Pacific University, and has lived in Carmel for 8 years.

Susie Ries Herrmann
Health Services Sales Director

Susie Ries Herrmann is a graduate of Carmel High School, with a B.S. in Psychology from Purdue University and a Masters of Social Work from Indiana University. Susie has more than 30 years’ experience working with people through social work and marketing roles. Prior to joining The Barrington, she worked as a licensed clinical NICU social worker at St. Vincent’s Women‘s Hospital in Indianapolis. Before that, she worked for 17 years as an adoption coordinator and marketing specialist for Adoption Support Center, Inc. in Indianapolis.
