Kara Owen

Executive Director

Kara earned a Bachelor of Science in human biology from Indiana University, with a concentration in human health and disease and psychology. She began her career in health care working at a senior living community for those with developmental disabilities. She is a licensed health facility administrator, certified dementia professional, co-founder of Chi Delta Phi at Indiana University, and serves alongside many local outreach service organizations.

Molly Vissers

Associate Executive Director

Molly graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Health Care. While attending UWEC, she served on the executive boards of the American College of Health Care Administrators chapter and the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association team. Prior to joining The Barrington of Carmel team in June 2021, she worked at The Towne House, another BHI Senior Living community. She is a licensed health facility administrator and qualified memory care professional.

Steve Clossey

Director of Sales and Marketing

Steve joined BHI Senior Living, the parent company of The Barrington of Carmel, in February 2020, then came to The Barrington as the Sales and Marketing Director in July 2020.

Before joining BHI, Steve worked for 15 years as Director of Operations at Tangram, an organization serving individuals with disabilities. There he was responsible for the overall management of the strategic and operational activities, corporate disability consulting, and the organization’s long-term growth.

Brandi Shrader

Senior Residency Advisor

Brandi was blessed to start her career in the senior living industry over 20 years ago as a Marketing Intern while attending the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. After graduation, she continued in the marketing field and loves that she has been able to help so many families with their journey. As the Senior Residency Counselor at the Barrington of Carmel, she assists moving residents into their Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care homes. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four beautiful children.
